I’m pretty much with this take on Whiplash. It doesn’t try to overcomplicate the pitch, and that confidence helps a lot. What stuck with me most was how controlled the atmosphere felt. There are a few rough spots, but overall it absolutely works.
There’s a lot to like here, but also a lot that holds it back from being great.
Not perfect but had some solid moments.
