Torn Curtain (1966)
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Quick Hit
Cold War machinery with flashes of brutal, undeniable force.
Full Take
Torn Curtain is often called lesser Hitchcock, and sure, the glamour is thinner here. But when the film locks into its spy mechanics and physical struggle, it shows a hard, practical nastiness that still hits. Shaggy, but far from disposable.

Way better than most movies out there.
This one absolutely hits for me.

This sticks with you. The atmosphere and direction carry it hard and make it feel special.
I honestly think this is elite. It might not be perfect, but it does so many things right that it doesnβt matter.
This is one of those movies that just works on every level. The tone, pacing, and execution all come together perfectly.
