❌
The Little Shop of Horrors (1960)
Directed by Roger Corman
Quick Hit
The Little Shop of Horrors either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands well below the line. There’s some life in it, but not enough.
Full Take
The setup has teeth; the payoff decides whether it bites. When the rhythm drags or the trick is obvious, it starts leaking air fast. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s enough to push it into BAD.
