❌
The Flesh Eaters (1964)
Directed by Jack Curtis
Quick Hit
The Flesh Eaters either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands well below the line. A decent premise gets left on the table.
Full Take
The setup has teeth; the payoff decides whether it bites. When the rhythm drags or the trick is obvious, it starts leaking air fast. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s the difference between a curiosity and a real hit.
