The Embalmer (1965)
Directed by Dino Tavella
Quick Hit
The Embalmer either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands comfortably above water. Style keeps the blood warm.
Full Take
This one swings hard at horror and only sometimes connects. When the rhythm drags or the trick is obvious, it starts leaking air fast. Italian horror style carries a lot of the value here: texture, atmosphere, and a taste for beautiful decay. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That keeps it stuck at SOLID.
