The Cat o' Nine Tails (1971)
Directed by Dario Argento
Quick Hit
The Cat o' Nine Tails unfolds like a stylish giallo fever dreamāslick, stylish, and never wastes a scare.
Full Take
The Cat o' Nine Tails leans hard into giallo energy, and Dario Argento keeps the tone slick without letting the movie drift. It knows its lane and drives straight into the dark with style, control, and just enough mean streak. It may not be for everybody, but it definitely has teeth.

Not perfect but had some solid moments.
Thereās a lot to like here, but also a lot that holds it back from being great.

This didnāt really land for me overall, but I can see why some people like it.
This one actually worked for me.
Kinda mixed but I get the appeal.

Iām somewhere in the middle on The Cat o' Nine Tails. Thereās real craft in it and you can feel what itās going for. I just donāt think every piece is firing at the same level. For me it lands as a decent watch, not a personal favorite.
