The Blancheville Monster (1962)
Directed by Alberto De Martino
Quick Hit
The Blancheville Monster (a.k.a. Horror) either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands well below the line. Style keeps the blood warm.
Full Take
The setup has teeth; the payoff decides whether it bites. When the rhythm drags or the trick is obvious, it starts leaking air fast. Italian horror style carries a lot of the value here: texture, atmosphere, and a taste for beautiful decay. The pulp energy helps, but cheap effects only get so many free passes. That’s why it lands at BAD.
