❌
The Astro-Zombies (1968)
Directed by Ted V. Mikels
Quick Hit
The Astro-Zombies throws zombie on screen with real nerve, but the finish is underpowered. There’s some life in it, but not enough.
Full Take
You can feel the movie reaching for a hit from frame one. It lives or dies on execution, not reputation, and that matters here. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s enough to push it into BAD.
