Strait-Jacket (1964)
Directed by William Castle
Quick Hit
Strait-Jacket either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands well below the line. There’s some life in it, but not enough.
Full Take
This one swings hard at horror and only sometimes connects. It lives or dies on execution, not reputation, and that matters here. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s enough to push it into BAD.
