Directed by Mark Waters
Quick Hit
La Dolce Villa leans into tension and unpredictability, delivering a solid genre hit.
Full Take
La Dolce Villa builds atmosphere with a steady hand, mixing suspense and character pressure into something that keeps you locked in. It’s not reinventing the genre, but it delivers enough intensity and style to make it worth your time.

There’s a lot to like here, but also a lot that holds it back from being great.
Not perfect but had some solid moments.
Kinda mixed but I get the appeal.

This didn’t really land for me overall, but I can see why some people like it.

I actually agree with this take. It’s not perfect but it definitely delivers in key moments.
I’m somewhere in the middle on La Dolce Villa. There’s real craft in it and you can feel what it’s going for. The movie has stretches where it really works, then other stretches where it slips out of your hands. For me it lands as a decent watch, not a personal favorite.
