Jamaica Inn (1939)
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Quick Hit
A ragged gothic bruiser with wind in its teeth.
Full Take
Jamaica Inn is messy, oversized, and very much alive. Even when the performances threaten to tip into grandstanding, Hitchcock finds real menace in the landscape and turns the inn itself into a nest of rot. Uneven, but the mood hits hard.

kinda overrated imo
Ace don’t miss on this one
I honestly think this is elite. It might not be perfect, but it does so many things right that it doesn’t matter.
Easy rewatch, this is just that good.
This sticks with you. The atmosphere and direction carry it hard and make it feel special.
this is exactly why Ace rates this high
