Fear Chamber (1968)
Directed by Juan Ibáñez, Jack Hill
Quick Hit
Fear Chamber has feeling in the dark corners, which keeps it well below the line. I can see the ache, not always the shape.
Full Take
The fear lands when the sadness under it starts to show. If the characters don’t pull you in, the style can only carry so much weight. The real damage comes from interior pressure, not just visible threat. The strongest scenes feel like panic curdling into self-destruction. That’s why it hurts in the right way and scores BAD.
