Bloody Pit of Horror (1965)
Directed by Massimo Pupillo
Quick Hit
Bloody Pit of Horror either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands well below the line. Style keeps the blood warm.
Full Take
This one swings hard at horror and only sometimes connects. It lives or dies on execution, not reputation, and that matters here. Italian horror style carries a lot of the value here: texture, atmosphere, and a taste for beautiful decay. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s why it lands at BAD.
