Blood of the Virgins (1967)
Directed by Emilio Vieyra
Quick Hit
Blood of the Virgins throws horror on screen with real nerve, but the finish is thin. A decent premise gets left on the table.
Full Take
This one swings hard at horror and only sometimes connects. It lives or dies on execution, not reputation, and that matters here. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s enough to push it into BAD.
