Blood Bath (1966)
Directed by Stephanie Rothman, Jack Hill
Quick Hit
Blood Bath either bites hard or fizzles out; this one lands comfortably above water. More hit than miss, and that counts.
Full Take
This one swings hard at horror and only sometimes connects. When the image is sharp and the menace is clean, it lands. Once the mood is set, everything comes down to whether the film can cash in its own setup. The set pieces are what matter, and this one gets some mileage out of them. That’s why it lands at SOLID.
