Full Take
Bau: Artist at War builds atmosphere with a steady hand, mixing suspense and character pressure into something that keeps you locked in. It’s not reinventing the genre, but it delivers enough intensity and style to make it worth your time.

I actually agree with this take. It’s not perfect but it definitely delivers in key moments.
Kinda mixed but I get the appeal.
I’m more negative on Bau: Artist at War than the review is. There are some interesting pieces in there, but none of them come together in a way that really grabbed me. The pacing kept sagging just when it needed momentum, which made the whole thing feel longer than it was. So even with a few decent moments, I still came away underwhelmed.

There’s a lot to like here, but also a lot that holds it back from being great.
